Skull And Bones Players Sailed Around The Globe 70 Times During Closed Beta According To Stats
Well, the equivalent, anyway.
Now that Skull and Bones’ closed beta event is over, Ubisoft is busy doing all the analytic stuff. They haven’t posted precisely what they’ve learned from this test in regard to improvements, although they did state that they’ll be using feedback to polish the game. Instead, the game’s Senior Producer, Neven Dravinski, posted a letter thanking players for participating in the pirate game's test. The post also included an infographic with some fun stats from the test period.
The stats include everything from how many pirates were eaten by sea monsters, 810, to how many deals players struck with “deadly pirates”. That would be 238,201. Players engaged in nearly 550k battles and almost 760k ships have sunk. I’m not sure if the 1032 ships “swallowed by rogue waves” count in that number or not. Really, it seems like everyone needs to be a bit more careful.
It’s not all doom and death, though. The stats also note that players found almost 7000 legendary treasures. And, altogether, they managed to sail 2,782,522 kilometers. That’s apparently enough to go around the world nearly 70 times.
