Skillful Sculpting: Black Desert Character Creator is stunning
The character creation screen is often one of the most overlooked aspects of a Free-to-Play MMORPG. While there have been some shinning examples (TERA, Aion and APB come to mind), options for the creatively obsessive have been comparatively limited. That is until the sandbox MMORPG Black Desert makes its way to the west and shatters any preconceived notion as to what a "good" character creator is.
Ahead of the MMO's second Korean-only closed beta, Pearl Abyss, the studio behind Black Desert has released a new video showcasing the games extensive character customization. Options range from adjusting every nuance of your characters muscle structure to changing individual locks of hair and even coloring each pupil (including its shape) separately. Once a player is done, they can manipulate their character into their very own unique pose.
Black Desert's 2nd closed beta will begin on April 22nd, with no word yet on a western release.
