Skate. Socials Have Been Taken Over By Shady Finance Company MCORP, And Yes, I Called Their Customer Service Number
Shady investments, city planning, and supporting "KNOB DAY"
Skate. has been in the works for a while now and honestly, I'm a little eager to get my hands on the F2P sports title when it finally releases. We've gotten looks at character customization, leaked footage, and even heard rumors of how the game's monetization works, but we've yet to actually get our hands on the game.
That said, it seems Skate.'s socials have been taken over by a shady finance company called MCORP. Billing itself as "San Vansterdam’s largest investment conglomerate and leader in city-wide revitalization," MCORP seems to have their hands in everything and luckily seems to only be regulated by itself. Seems safe!
Multiple X posts show off a snazzy website that 100% took me back to traveling the internet in the late 90s. Popups, hyperlinks that aren't covering the entire text, and more easter eggs await your visit. There's also a Customer Service phone number given that you can bet your ass I called.

Drop everything and call us now! Invest in vest! Report a complaint! Just call us now!

I also went through EVERY option the automated message gives you from getting your account balance (sadly their systems seem to be down, imagine that), to learning about MCORP's own crypto token, to getting a list of daily affirmations I could use to "reassure" myself...it's actually pretty well done and amusing.
Where this all is leading? Who knows. MCORP seems to not be a general fan of skateboarders throughout the city of San Vansterdam and is hoping you'll support "KNOB DAY." A memo to the city shows that employees are getting knobs they can use to deter skaters.
Nice "takeover", now let me in game!
