Shroud Of The Avatar Development Team Goes Remote, Gives Up Offices
The Portalarium team has made a rather interesting decision regarding the future of Shroud of the Avatar's development process. They've decided to go completely remote, with everyone telecommuting rather than coming into a physical office for work.
The team informed players of this decision last week during the community live stream, where they announced they are "nomadic now". According to Massively OP, who caught the stream, the Portalarium team spent some time experimenting with going remote in order to "free up the revenue that [they] were spending" on everything it takes to keep a physical office open for operations. They also feel the decision has the added benefit of letting them make better use of the time they spend commuting to work every day.
