Shadow Arena Preseason Kicks Off With A New Trio Mode
Preseason has kicked off in Pearl Abyss' battle royale Shadow Arena, bringing with it a few new additions, like a preseason category in rankings. Players should note that performances during preseason have nothing to do with their previous season record. That said, everyone who hit Gold tier during Beta Season 1 will receive a special Tagahl Skin when preseason ends on November 5. At that point, a new Battle Pass event will kick off.
Speaking of ranking, there have been a lot of changes made to the ranking system. You'll want to look at the patch notes to see the shifts.
Also of note in this update is the introduction of the Trio Mode. The new mode replaces team mode. As the name makes it sound, teams of three compete against each other in the arena with a team claiming victory when they either wipe out the other side or conquer a Relic of Ascension.
The update also makes adjustments to monsters and relics, as well as several of the game's heroes.
