SGF 2022: Battle Royale Super People Announces Its Final Beta
This may be the last chance to sneak into all the pre-released fun.
During the Summer Game Fest, Wonder People debuted a brand-new cinematic for their upcoming battle royale shooter game, Super People. The final beta for the game will arrive on August 17. With the final beta announced, hopefully a release date will follow shortly after. Wonder People had recently announced that their beta saw more than 4.3 million participants, a number that will probably grow with their final beta.
Many people are comparing Super People to PUBG as it does seem similar, but then again at this point there aren't too many lavishly different battle royale games. In Super People, characters won’t just be trying to keep themselves alive and trying to killing others, but will also be spending their time during matches leveling up their character in order to unlock new special abilities. At the height of a player's power, they will be able to unlock an ultimate skill that offers the most powerful ability available. Players will also need to collect crafting materials in order to create or upgrade their weapons.
This game is said to “revolutionize how you think about the genre,” which would be wonderful considering so many battle royale style games already exist, having one with interesting mechanics or a new way to play would be a breath of fresh air.
