Senior Art Director Samwise Didier Announces Departure From Blizzard
Today is his last day.
After a bit over three decades – 32 years to be exact – Blizzard Senior Art Director Samwise Didier has announced his retirement from the company. The announcement, published on Twitter, notes that today is his final day at the company.
The note goes on to talk about how Didier grew during his time at the company, learning “almost everything I know about art there”, learning how to properly use a computer and Photoshop, how to create a UI, and so forth.
He ends the note with a bit of advice to the team at Blizzard. “Always draw big shoulder pads.”
