Sega Bans (Or Severely Punishes) Over 1600 Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis Account For Toxic Behavior
The NGS team confirms they will continue to punish toxic players.
Sega would just like to remind everyone that being a raging ass to your fellow Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis players is not okay. It is, in fact, so not okay that to date they’ve “suspended or otherwise severely punished” over 1,600 accounts. These are people who’ve engaged in the various forms of discrimination that exist, or who are otherwise just being “hateful”.
The company revealed this via Twitter today, noting that they will continue to take action against those who engage in these behaviors. So, uh…maybe if you want to keep your account…don’t do that?
The post does not indicate what percentage of reported behavior these 1,600+ accounts account for, but it’s not like they’re done.
