Second Path Of Exile Q&A Answers About Content Releases And More
Last week, Grinding Gear Games published the first in a series of posts dedicated to answering player's questions about Path of Exile. They covered a wide variety of topics, but because players asked so many questions regarding game development and other issues, there wasn't enough room to get to all of them there.
Following on that post, GGG posted another answering more questions on a wide variety of subjects; including what is necessary to make a game like Path of Exile, and -- in the same question -- who has the longest beard and/or hair on their staff. The answer to that latter one would be gameplay developer Mark.
Of particular interest to hard core PoE players might be the question regarding act releases and whether or not releasing several at once might cause more issues. According to the developers, bugs are generally caused by new features and not new content so it's not a huge concern.
Another player wanted to know if the devs had considered color-coding map mods. The answer... No. The developers feel that it would take up communication space intended for game mechanics that will be added down the line.
Of course, as with the last post, some of the questions were on a more personal level with players asking about what kind of portfolios they need to get into the industry and how many employees at GGG are actually native to New Zealand. The answers to both of these questions are available in the Q&A on the Path of Exile site.
