Season 5 Changes The World Of Fortnite As Players Know It
A little under two weeks ago, there was a world-changing event in Fortnite. Players watched as a rocket took off and exploded in the sky, creating some sort of rift in the sky. Players didn't know for certain what would happen after that, but they knew it was something big.
As of today, we know what that something big is. Today, Epic Games dropped Season 5 -- where "Worlds Collide!". The update introduces new content and even changes the face of the map. When players log in today, they'll find all kinds of new things -- ancient statues, a desert outpost, and (my favorite) a Viking ship. The game also now has its first four-person vehicle, thanks to the rift apparently just sucking whatever gets in its way onto the island.
Oh yes, and then there's the fact that Moisty Mire has undergone some serious changes thanks to a drought -- as you can see in the image above.
As with all new seasons, there is a new Battle Pass. This one includes over 100 new rewards and can be snagged for 950 V-Bucks. It seems to have a somewhat summery, sporty theme going on with basketball, golf, and even some beach ball activities.
