Season 22 of Destiny 2 Introduces Enhancements To Underused Exotic Armor Options
These changes affect Hunters, Titans, and Warlocks.
In Season 22 of Destiny 2, Bungie is looking to enhance underused options when it comes to Exotic Armor in the shooter.
For Hunters, the Knucklehead Radar gains functionality from the Foetracer, Lucky Raspberry's Arc Bolt grenades gain reliability and the ability to stun Overload Champions, and Renewal Grasps revert a nerf.
Titans see improvements to Icefall Mantle, Doom Fang Pauldrons, Path of the Burning Steps, and Eternal Warrior, with increased Stasis, Void, and Solar weapon damage bonuses. Also, ACD/0 Feedback Fence is revamped to tie into the Armor Charge system, and Hallowfire Heart shifts to promote more Sunspot usage.
Warlocks' Astrocyte Verse adds explosive volatility to Blinking and enhances Dark Blink during Nova Warp, while Geomag Stabilizers grant more Super energy from ionic traces, and Wings of Sacred Dawn reload Solar weapons upon kill. Winter’s Guile gains a new perk for the Stasis subclass too.
In terms of abilities, the upcoming season will witness changes aimed at balancing and refining gameplay. Barricade abilities' uptime and potency will be reduced, particularly in high-level PvP, with adjustments to Towering Barricade's cooldown and health pool. Striker Titans are adjusted to curb their dominance in high-level PvP activities, affecting Thundercrash and Knockout. And Suspend's duration is being reduced along with changes to its supporting fragments, aiming to balance its potency and differentiate it from Stasis Freeze.
Additional changes include the enhancement of Strand fragments like Threadlings and Sever, the introduction of more Tangles, adjustments to abilities like Silkstrike, Threaded Specter, and The Wanderer, and tweaks to various Thread fragments.
