Sea Of Thieves Season 11 Allows Players To Dive Directly From The Quest Table
The Voyage system has been overhauled.
Season 11 is underway in Sea of Thieves. Kicking off yesterday (January 23) the pirate game's new season adds 100 new levels of Renown and rewards as well as a selection of improvements, and yes, it’s free. The update focuses on improving players’ ability to access content without having to jump through hoops. Rather than having to go to an Outpost and buy Voyages, players can now access them via the new Quest Table – no matter where they’re at in the world.
Another big change to the Voyage system is the addition of a new transportation option. Players can either travel the way they always have, or they can dive. The diving option allows for shorter game sessions and opens access to World Events that aren’t currently active on the player’s server. They also tie into on-demand Events called Raid Voyages that offer loot related to the Trading Company that commissioned them. This will be helpful for players trying to progress with specific Companies.
There is a catch to all this, however. If players want to be paid for their Voyage, they’ll have to head to an Outpost or The Reaper’s Hideout to collect their reward. If they move on to another Voyage before doing so, they’ll lose that loot.
