Sci-Fi Submarine Sim Barotrauma Launches On Steam, And Co-Op Could Be Hilariously Chaotic
Explore the frozen moon of Europa in a submarine.
Developers FakeFish and Undertow Games announced today the official launch of their sci-fi submarine sim game Barotrauma on Steam. Featuring both a single-player and online co-op mode, Barotrauma takes players on a deep sea adventure diving into the frozen oceans of Jupiter's moon Europa.
Barotrauma spent nearly four years in early access, with 30,000 Discord users providing feedback and 60,000 player-made entries to the game on Steam Workshop. The developers even added a player-made submarine to the base game as part of a community competition.
Co-op mode supports up to 16 players and the game boasts thrilling and often hilarious chaos thanks to procedurally generated levels, ridiculous ragdoll physics, and full mod support.
Check out the official launch trailer below and head over to the Barotrauma Steam page where the game currently has a 25% discount.
