Sci-Fi Sandbox MMORPG Dual Universe Launches On Steam
There’s a free trial too.
After eight years of development and two years of beta testing, Novaquark’s sci-fi sandbox MMORPG has finally been released. The universe is now open and players can explore multiple planets ten thousand years after the destruction of the Earth. In case you’re wondering how we go, a neutron star collided with the planet. The good news is that at least some of humanity was able to be put into stasis and are finally waking up – in a galaxy far from home. In this new place, humanity must rebuild society.
In this new universe, players will be able to take on a variety of roles ranging from artists to captains of industry. They’ll work together – or possibly oppose each other – on a single server, each building their own wealth in whatever way they see fit. How players impact the game is based on their decisions rather than class choice.
The game offers players the ability to build anything using advanced voxel-based tools. Constructs can range from industrial complexes to race tracks, to warships and space stations. The game is also designed to be friendly to varying types of players. Even those who just want to go it alone can make a place in Dual Universe.
Those interested in playing the game can download it via the official website or Steam. It’s also available on GeForce Now. If you’re not sure the game is for you, Novaquark is offering a free demo via Steam on its own separate server.
