Scale Mountains And Battle Dragon Cultists In Neverwinter's Next Adventure Zone
Hope you're not afraid of heights!
Neverwinter's next adventure zone will see players grapple with a number of challenges, in most literal sense of the word. Today's dev blog from Content Designers Elliott Minner and Ryan Zash is about 3/4 pictures and 1/4 text, but what sparse information there is provides a vertical slice into the verticality that adventurers will have to deal with. Just try not to get vertigo.
Bernie Sanders, I mean, Elminster, is once again asking for players' support, sending them off to Dragonbone Vale's Sword Mountains, which has -- you guessed it -- lots of mountains. Those are normally an impassible tool for MMORPG players, but this time you'll have enchanted grappling hooks to help you scale the heights of the mountain range.
Each of Neverwinter's factions have a role to play in the mountains, in the effort to root out the Cult of the Dragon and combat its corruption. The Emerald Enclave is conducting magical research to restore the land, the Lords' Alliance is operating a forward base for scouting and supply runs, and the Order of the Gauntlet is trying to stop the red wizards of Thay from excavating dragon remains for their sinister rituals.
The Dragonbone Vale update comes to Neverwinter on PC in January and on consoles in February.
