Sandbox Interactive Offers Look At New Albion Online PvP Map
Albion Online's next big content update, Queen, will add plenty of new things to the game -- including a rework of the Outlands continent. Since the changes made to the continent are a pretty massive deal, the devs decided to offer players a look at what's to come.
The new update will make the Outlands more important to high-level gameplay and set things up for Guild Hideouts. They'll also deliver new Open-World Territory Conquests. However, before any of that can happen, there are technical changes that will have to be made in order to ensure that players don't lose anything when the current version of the Outlands is removed.
As it turns out, players will have to do a bit of work on their own to ensure that doesn't happen. The post mentions evacuating items from the Outlands. Players will get some help with this as far as personal banks and guild vaults go, but they'll have to handle building and furniture chests themselves. And don't worry, if for some reason your character is still in the Outlands when the whole thing goes down, it will be ported to a safer area.
The post outlining the changes also covers some of the more technical aspects of what happens behind the scenes, as well as offers a look at new cities and portal systems. If you want to take a peek at some of the background goings-on, you can do so on the Albion Online site. You can also get a peek at the new Outlands in the video below.
