SAND, The Open-World PvPvE Extraction Shooter With Giant Walkers, Enters Early Access In April
Yes, you get to build your own walking bases.
Yet another open-world PvPvE extraction shooter game is getting ready to roll out to players. This one, however, has an interesting spin. Appropriately named “SAND,” the game is set on a post-apocalyptic, barren planet. Everywhere is covered with sand and there has to be a better way to traverse it than walking.
Enter giant mechanical walking bases – or “Tramplers”. These bases do more than get players around. They also serve to protect them from the elements and as additional defense against other players. Of course, that means the goal is for players to destroy each other’s Tramplers if they want to take their loot and win.
Tramplers are player-built. They’re designed from the ground up, and players can customize just about everything about them. That includes size, engine placement, layout, storage, weapons, and more.
SAND is scheduled to enter Early Access on Steam on April 3. Until then, those interested can add it to their Wishlist.
