Sadly, Paragon: The Overprime Won't Make It Out Of Early Access
Seriously...how can it go so wrong so fast?
Look, maybe this shouldn't be all that surprising as many that have tried to pick up the mantle from the original Paragon have ended up shutting down. However, when Netmarble announced Paragon: The Overprime, this seemed a little different. This wasn't a "rag tag" bunch of Paragon fans trying to keep the original MOBA alive or make their own variant from the game's free assets, this was a game company doing things with the assets.
Netmarble will be ending Paragon: The Overprime's early access on April 22nd. That means the title won't even make it out of early access.
Why? Well, that's a bit weird, actually. According to the official announcement, "we concluded that we will not be able to provide a stable and satisfying service moving forward."
It makes it sound like server issues, not money issues...or maybe the issues would take money they just don't want to spend? Who knows.
Either way, the cash shop won't allow purchases starting today and if you want anything from the Discord/forums saved, go get it now.
Now I guess it's all up to Predecessor.
