RuneScape Preps Advent Calendar And December Content; Dragon Weapons Reworked In Today's Update
A slew of quality-of-life improvements came today, too.
Jagex has posted their latest "This Week In Runescape" blog series that lists a mini quality-of-life patch implemented today, gives viewers a glimpse into the Advent Calendar, and hints at incoming December content.
The countdown to the returning Advent Calendar is approaching as we head into December. Players can get one gift and an extra key when logging in daily through December. Fans who log in and open their rewards across 15 days will gain the new Portable Snowfall Aura cosmetic override, which you can view on the RuneScape blog.
Christmas decorations are already up all over Gielinor today, but plenty more in-game adornments and content are coming to celebrate the holiday soon. In fact, players will know what's coming tomorrow. Jagex will reveal details on unique events and December's content drop.
From today's update, RuneScape players can try out the reworked changes for Dragon weapons, making their special attacks less clunky and adrenaline efficient to meet "modern standards" of play.
Since RuneScape reintroduced special attacks, many players have put them into "the category of 'useless,'" but the latest patch aims to make Dragon weapons more appealing. This way, players will pick them up more often or use them in their Amulets. Changes include special attacks from Dragon Dagger no longer being a channeled ability to removing Dragon Claws' stall from the ability animation.
