RuneScape Players Will Need Desperate Measures Later This Month
"Desperate times call for desperate measures." That's going to be literally true in RuneScape, as Jagex preps the Desperate Measures update for later this month, a direct follow-up to -- wait for it -- last year's Desperate Times quest line. Who knew it was so easy to name MMORPG content?
Desperate Measures will continue the quest line revolving around the Elder Gods and have players using their Archaeology skill to "discover new mysteries in the dinosaur-infested island of Anachronia." (Anachronia? After 19 years, they're really just having fun with names now.) There they'll learn more about the Dragonkin, who are -- you're not going to believe this! -- "a race of powerful dragon-like creatures."
The update has an apocalyptic tone to it, as it heralds the rising of the Elder Gods, which any RPG player can tell you is never a good thing. The beginning of the end comes to RuneScape on July 27.
