RuneScape’s First New Combat Skill In Two Decades Arrives Today
It’s time to start raising the dead.
Today, Jagex dropped RuneScape’s Necromancy update, adding the MMORPG’s first combat skill in 20 years. The new skill allows players to channel their inner darkness while bringing fresh gameplay to the MMO. The Necromancy skill is introduced along with nine new quests and two new boss fights.
Appropriately, the game’s Necromancy update will take players deep into Gielinor’s underworld to the City of Um where they will commune with and free the undead. The new class should be pretty easy for players to pick up and play but is also designed to be appealing to those who like a challenge.
Jagex notes that this update is just the beginning and that the adventure will be rolled out in the months to come. One thing players can look forward to is a new Halloween event – which is pretty appropriate following an update all about the undead.
