Rumor: Sea Of Thieves Could Be Coming To PlayStation In Early 2024
There has been interest from Microsoft to bring Sea of Thieves to its competitor.
According to reports, there has been at least some interest on Microsoft's part to bring Rare's hit pirate game Sea of Thieves to PlayStation. A source familiar with plans to bring Sea of Thieves to PlayStation spoke to Game File on the subject, but the current status of any plans is unknown.
While Microsoft has certainly published games on rival platforms before, this would mark the first time a first-party marquee title such as Sea of Thieves would make the jump.
Microsoft was unwilling to speak further on the matter, but as we all know, where there's smoke there's usually at least a small fire. While making such a move has by no means been confirmed at this point, it's not overly surprising to hear that Microsoft has at least had conversations about widening the potential audience of Sea of Thieves players.
