Rumor Has It Naughty Dog "Officially" Canceled Its Multiplayer The Last Of Us Game
Apparently it wasn't good enough to get a release.
A recent rumor suggests that Naughty Dog has canceled its multiplayer project set in The Last Of Us universe. The game had faced numerous challenges historically, including delays and scaling-down efforts. There were even reports that Bungie had reviewed the project and expressed concerns about its potential success as a live service game.
The latest rumor — originating from The Tipster on Twitter — claims that the company has decided to cancel the multiplayer project altogether. Instead, the development team is said to be incorporating the best aspects of the canceled game into The Last Of Us Part III. The decision to cancel reportedly stemmed from worries that a subpar release could damage Naughty Dog's reputation.
