Rocket League Is Now F2P, And There's $10 Epic Games Store Coupons To Celebrate
The day has finally come and summer only "officially" ended two days ago here in the Northern Hemisphere. Psyonix's smash hit Rocket League is now free-to-play via the Epic Games Store. The title has already been flagged on Steam with the "unlisted by publisher" flag so if you don't already have it on Steam, you won't be able to get it there anymore. In addition to the launch on the Epic Games Store, the car/soccer mash-up is also free on PlayStation 4, XBox One, and Nintendo Switch. All 3 console stores already have the product listed as free on their respective stores, so you are all set on your platform of choice.
The free-to-play launch does come with some updates and changes, but I won't belabor those point here. For those of you interested, we already covered them both here and here. But, I will mention that simply getting Rocket League on the Epic Games Store will net you a $10 "Epic Coupon," provided you claim Rocket League prior to October 23rd. This $10 coupon is good on any EGS purchase that has a value over $14.99 (so no, you can't use it to score a totally free purchase) and is good until November 1st, so you'll have a little time to mull things over before deciding on what you'd like to buy.
We've got it installed and ready for today's stream over on our Twitch page so stop by at 2 PM Eastern today. Don't forget, we'll have Zach Sharpes's First Look soon, too!
