Rocket League's Halloween Event This Year Features A Collaboration With The Nightmare Before Christmas
You can be the Pumpkin King/Car.
What’s this?
The Haunted Hallows Event in Rocket League is back, but this time Disney's "The Nightmare Before Christmas" by Tim Burton enters the sports game. From today until November 1, players can participate in the game’s spooky festivities. The event features bundles inspired by iconic characters from the movie like Jack Skellington, Sally, Oogie Boogie, and Sandy Claws. These bundles include various themed items: car decals, goal explosions, toppers, anthems, etc.
Haunted Hallows has challenge rewards too for creepy and/or cute cosmetics. You can earn up to five Golden Pumpkins by completing challenges.
In addition to the themed items, the event introduces two limited-time game modes: Spooky Cube — where the ball becomes a fast-moving jack-o-lantern, and Haunted Heatseeker — where a supernatural force controls the ball's movement.
While fun, none of this, of course, excuses Psyonix's decision to take away player trading in December.
