Riot Will Talk About League Universe Plans For 2021 In Friday Livestream
This Friday, Riot Games has plans. No, make that Plans, italicized and with a capital P.
At 7:00 a.m. Pacific on Friday, Jan. 8, the Season 2021 Opening Day livestream will kick off on its official YouTube channel, showcasing what's to come in the new year for League of Legends. Everything League-adjacent will be covered, including news about Legends of Runeterra, Teamfight Tactics, League of Legends Wild Rift, and esports.

Of course, that's not all Riot has in the works. There was the physical strategy game King's Gambit that was mentioned last year, and we haven't heard much about the League-based fighting game, Project L or the animated series, Arcane, that were announced during the 10th anniversary celebration. And then there's the League of Legends MMO that's deserving of its own formal announcement, and this would be the perfect place for it.
There's no clear indication that Riot will reveal anything about any of these new initiatives, but we're staying optimistic at least through the first week of 2021. Make sure to set your clock early on Friday so you don't miss any announcements, or check out our coverage of the stream later in the day.
