Riot Showcases Flashy New Cybernetic PROJECT Skins
When you're as successful as Riot Games, you can drop a little -- or more than a little -- coin to promote your new stuff. Today's video of the upcoming cybernetically inspired PROJECT skins does just that, telling a mini-story in the midst of chaotic, but flashy, violence.
There are six PROJECT skins, for Leona, Fiora, Zed, Lucian, Yasuo, and Master Yi, and they're currently available on the Public Test Server. Along with the video, there's a spiffy interactive website that lets you explore the skins and the moves you'll be able to pull off with them, which have markedly different animations than their "normal" counterparts.
Yi's skin costs 1820 RP and Yasuo's 675 "until 9/15," with no indication of what they'll cost after that. The other four are listed as going for 1375 until 9/15, with a discount down to 950 the week of 9/17 to 9/24.
Given the attention being given to the PROJECT skins, don't be surprised to see a more in-depth story presented with them, in the same vein as the recent story that saw the death and revival of Gangplank. Hopefully, no one has to die this time.
