Riot Raises $5.5M For Charity With Valorant Give Back Bundle
Well, here's some good news. During the month of June, Riot sold a special Valorant bundle -- the contents of which were voted on by the players -- to raise money for the Riot Games Social Impact Fund. The Give Back Bundle launched with Episode 3, with a portion of the sales going to charity.
Now that the sale is over, Riot has tallied the sales totals and, as it turns out, players purchased enough bundles for over $5.5 million of the proceeds to go to charity. As the money is raised for the Social Impact Fund, it's hard to say specifically what cause it will go to, as rather than picking a specific charity, they use the fund to work with a variety of charitable organizations. The logic behind this is that this way they can make a greater impact. You can read more about the fund on the Riot site.
Thanks to your picks, your votes, and your generosity, over $5.5 Million is going to the Riot Games Social Impact Fund. A huge shout out to everyone who purchased the Give Back Bundle. https://t.co/oitYsgGGdm pic.twitter.com/OsCTusjFQf
