Riot Offers More Information On Legends Of Runeterra World Championship Structure
It's been a little over a month since Riot announced plans for a Legends of Runeterra World Championship, and now we're getting information on how they plan for it to operate. The LoR dev team published a post on the game's site, providing details on what players will need to achieve to even take part in the tournament.
According to the post, the top four players in any of the Seasonal Tournaments, beginning with Monuments of Power and going forward, will automatically be included in the World Championship. In addition, they'll be using a point system beginning with the Empires of the Ascended tournament, with each participant being awarded points based on their wins, with the top 22 players at the end qualifying for the World Championship.
Players can also attempt to win a spot in the tournament by climbing the ranked ladder. Since this is the more time-consuming and involved way to go about gaining entry, Riot has posted a handy table detailing how player points are calculated toward entry based on their Master Rank.
