Riot Announces Deal With Zedd For Premium Set Of Valorant Weapon Skins
Spectrum set will have unique sound and visual effects.
DJ/songwriter Zedd (a.k.a. Anton Zaslavski) has announced a collaboration with Riot Games that will see a line of weapon skins for Valorant inspired by his music. The skins go under the collective name of Spectrum, and Zedd released a video today that showed them off while explaining how he added his personal touch.
Spectrum is "a collection of weaponesque color and sound that elevates the way you experience the game, taking you from a player to a performer," Zedd said. He worked directly with the sound team for Valorant to create all of the skins' audio elements. The skins start in a base white color that shifts as you move, while melee weapons play music while you have them out. They have a number of other unique audio and visual effects, as well, such as firing sounds and kill animations.
The Spectrum weapons arrive in the Valorant store on Wednesday, and the set will cost a cool 10,700 Valorant Points, which is about $100. Hey, these collaborations don't come cheap.
