Rift Producer's Letter Highlights Fifth Anniversay Celebrations & Future Plans
Rift is coming up on it’s 5th anniversary and Trion is preparing to celebrate -- beginning with the first major update of the year, 3.6: Celebration of the Ascended. This update will arrive in April, bringing with it the Carnival of the Ascended, new quests, new rewards, and more. The Carnival of the Ascended update will also implement plans for new souls for all callings, a new daily login reward system, and PvP improvements.
A secondary update will drop in May -- containing a new Intrepid Instant Adventure that will allow all players to do battle with the Tenebrean deities.
In addition to these updates, Trion has announced that they will be implementing true multi-core support for the Rift client.
More information on the Rift team’s plans for 2016 -- as well as a look back at what happened in 2015 -- are available on the Trion Worlds blog.
