"Skateboarding is an art form, a lifestyle, and a sport." — Tony Hawk
Ubisoft is introducing the sport in Riders Republic. The “Skate” add-on, set to release today, invites players to shred in solo and multiplayer modes on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC via the Ubisoft Store, the Epic Games Store, and Steam. Players with Ubisoft+ or Amazon Luna subscriptions can also access the game. A season patch is now available for download, introducing The Deck Skateboard Festival.
This expansion brings skate culture to the sports game with The Deck, a new area within Bryce Canyon consisting of six main districts. Players can embark on a fresh career path featuring four stunts, 15 events, and three new sponsors. A wide range of skateboarding gear, including outfits, deck shapes, bolts, wheels, and marker elements, will be available. There’s 44 new tricks to master and an enhanced replay mode for capturing epic moments.
To celebrate the launch, a Free Weekend ramps up from September 28 to October 2, allowing players to try out the base game and experience the new skateboard sport through demos and Live Area events. Progression made during the Free Weekend will be retained if players choose to purchase the game. Additionally, the Standard Edition is discounted by 75% and the Complete Edition is discounted by 20% starting September 28, varying by platform.
