Having already launched Early Access on Steam, The Repopulation is charging full speed ahead and plans to release the Windows version of the free to play game in the 4th quarter of this year. Gamers already playing the sandbox inspired MMORPG can expect the title to be "feature complete" sometime this summer.

Over the past few months, Above and Beyond Technologies has been making a ton of enhancements, tweaks, changes, and updates to the game including a visual overhaul of some key game locations, new dungeons, new minigames, and a plethora of system improvements. Dedicated to letting players play they way they want to play, The Repopulation gives players "the choice to play the game like an RPG or a first/third person shooter. To advance your character through combat or peaceful means. The freedom to craft and harvest without being forced into combat. To act as a hero or a villain. A thief, diplomat, home builder, tamer, crafter, or an entertainer. To participate in Player vs. Player combat or to avoid it altogether."

Fans of older titles like Star Wars Galaxies and Ultima Online may want to keep their eye on this title as it nears its launch date. That's not to say that The Repopulation is "old school" though as the MMORPG adds numerous conventions from current titles in the genre while adding in its own interesting takes of some game elements.

Head on over to the official site to get caught up and ready for release.

I bought this pos wasted my money. Mechanics are very jerky and crappy. The map is impossible to figure out. You have to wander around and guess where the quest npc's are. Crap game
