Remember the PvE MOBA Evercore Heroes? It’s Back As A 3-Player Roguelite
The devs promise deeper storytelling following the story of two rivals who team up to form a band of heroes.
When Vela Games revealed that they were cutting back on staff and effectively putting the PvE MOBA Evercore Heroes into maintenance mode, we might have thought that was the end. No one would be blamed for thinking such a thing as when a developer tells players they’re rethinking a game, there’s a good chance we’ll never hear of that game again. Particularly when the problem was that players just didn’t seem to vibe with it enough to even try it.
You would, however, be wrong this time if you thought that about Evercore Heroes. As it turns out, the Vela Games team has been busy doing just what they said, and rethinking the game. Now, they’re back with a new version, a 3-player, team action, roguelite. Players choose from heroes and customize their loadout before going on missions with two of their friends. Once a run is completed, they’ll be able to unlock new features in the game, including new builds.
One of the features Vela Games boasts in this revised version of Evercore Heroes is deeper storytelling. The game’s narrative follows Lotus and Kaine, former rivals now allied and putting together a group of heroes known as the Luum Sentinels. The heroes are tasked with stopping the Fate’s Blade army following its attack which shattered the Evercore and caused chaos to spread.
Evercore Heroes is available to wishlist on Steam.
