"Reforged" Brings World Of Tanks Blitz To Unreal Engine 5, Redesigns Commander System, And Revamps Physics
Players can check everything out in the "Ultra Test" scheduled for late next week.
World of Tanks Blitz has what they call the "most significant update in the game's history" on the way. The "Reforged" update migrates the strategy game to Unreal Engine 5, which immediately means drastic improvements to visuals, physics, and (hopefully) an increase cadence for update development.
This isn't just about adding a new coat of paint and tank rolling physics, though. Reforged will also revamp the Commander System while adding new Commanders with new backstories and abilities. Your collection of tanks is also going to be organized by "Tank Sets." Vehicles will find themselves lumped together with vehicles sharing similar features and the team says this will actually make obtaining new vehicles easier, although they don't really share how just yet.
Some of your favorite maps will get a little extra love by way of visual improvements, new weather conditions, and adjusted layouts to cater to new strategies.
You'll be able to test out the Reforged update starting late next week, on January 24th, when WoT Blitz starts their "Ultra Test." You can sign up on the official site if you want to take part.
Existing players don't need to worry about losing any progress in this update. The transition to the Reforged update will be seamless and you'll retain anything you've previously earned on your account.
