Redfall Answers Persistent Online and Xbox Gold Questions In New FAQ
Is always online and Xbox Gold required?
Open world vampire shooter Redfall is set to launch on May 2, but there are still a few questions surrounding the game that a new FAQ hopes to clear up.
Perhaps most important is the fact that you will need a persistent online connection, even when playing solo. The game also offers online co-op gameplay, but you'll have to be connected even when braving the world all alone. You'll also need to link your Xbox/Steam user ID with your Bethesda.net account to play.
The base edition of the game will be available day one on Xbox Game Pass, but you'll need Xbox Gold to play co-op with your friends. There's an upgrade pack for the Bite Back edition if you're playing on Game Pass, with upgrades such as the Hero Pass (which will give you access to the next two upcoming heroes), outfit and weapon skins, and the Tactical Knife Stake weapon attachment.
Redfall is coming to Xbox X/S and PC on May 2nd. You can check out the full FAQ for a breakdown of game packs and what they contain.
