Rainbow Six Siege Launches Operation Vector Glare, Brings New Operator, Deathmatch Map, And More
Also, the Year 7 Season 2 update rolls out a new battle pass.
Live now, Ubisoft has released Rainbox Six Siege's Year 7: Season 2 update: "Operation Vector Glare." The patch introduces a new Operator, team deathmatch map, Battle Pass, exclusive weapon skins, and more.
The Operation Vector Glare Battle Pass trailer highlights the newly-arrived Belgian Operator Sens. He comes equipped with a POF-9 or a 417 as a primary weapon and GONNE-6 or SDP 9MM as his secondary. Sens's specialty is attacking and strategy, and included in his kit is the R.O.U. Projector System gadget that lets him deploy a wall of light to cloud players' line of sight. Players who purchase the new Battle Pass can get early access to Sens.
The new team deathmatch map, Close Quarter, is the first of its kind that focuses on movement rather than defense setups. The various lines of sight in the facility will let players experience a new way to strategize in Rainbow Six Siege. Additionally, two onboarding tools are now in the game: Shooting Range, a place for players to practice and learn about all available weapons, and Operator Guides, which gives a quick tutorial on every Operator's unique ability and gadgets.
The new season has a wide variety of seasonal weapon skill collections. If players acquire the "Energy Refraction Bundle," they can unlock the Beryl Matrix weapon skin, attachment skin, and the Peridot Disk charm. Once unlocked, all seasonal weapon skins will remain in player inventories indefinitely and can be applied to all available weapons.
