The Queen Of The Gods Is Coming To SMITE
The next god to join the Greek pantheon in SMITE will be Hera, sister-wife of Zeus and Queen of the Gods. Titan Forge Games dropped a teaser video for the goddess a week ago. It didn't really give much information on what Hera will be like in game -- although it did make good fun of Zeus.
Today, they released a lore video. Or, rather, PCGamesN released the video in an article containing some details about SMITE's next diety.
When Hera is added to the game, she'll be able to summon her protector Argus by opening a portal that he can use to enter the battlefield. She'll also be able to transform her enemies.
While Titan Forge Games hasn't yet released the video themselves, they did publish a post offering insight into not just the type of god Hera will be, but what process they used in designing her and Argus. If you're interested in this, you can read it on the SMITE site. The one thing you might find important is the section on her kit, which is described as focusing on leadership and tactics. She's a Mage-type god that works well at a distance but is low on defensive options. She also lacks in the mobility department.
