After 5 Years Of Early Access, Quake Champions Finally Launches On Steam
The arena shooter has finally exited Early Access.
id Software’s arena shooter Quake Champions is now officially available on Steam. The game has been available on Valve’s platform since 2107 in Early Access. Apparently, id Software and Bethesda feel it’s good enough to officially launch after five years.
From what we can tell, the launch won’t change much for Quake Arena players. The game is still free-to-play with a currency that can be purchased through Steam in amounts starting at $5 and going up to $40. It’s also part of a bundle if you want the full Quake experience. That’s currently on sale for 70% off in honor of QuakeCon.
Quake Champions has also made its way to PC Game Pass. To make it have any value on the platform - what with it being free-to-play already - it comes with all sixteen champions unlocked. That is, of course, provided the player has the Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
