Q&A From Elder Scrolls Online's Community Roundtable Focuses On Guilds, But Most Answers May Disappoint
There's an awful lot of "we're not saying no, but..."
As part of the 10-year celebration still rolling throughout The Elder Scrolls Online, the MMORPG's team held a number of roundtable discussions with players at their live events. Today, we get a follow-up post from Zenimax taking us through some of those questions and the team's replies.
Honestly, these answers will probably disappoint most players, particularly those heavily involved in guilds.
There's a theme going on in most of these answers. That theme is "we're not saying no, but we are saying that's a good suggestion, we've talked about it internally too, but we don't have any current plans/it's a bit more technical than just flipping a switch."
Knowing that, what were the players asking? They wanted mounts to be able to rep their guild's banner, get guild halls added, the ability to hide guild tabards like you hide helms, empty plots, and add an in-game voice chat tool.
Every single one of these items got the treatment I detailed above or a slight variation of that reply.
What the team was more definitive on was how a guild can replace a guild leader that has passed away or otherwise left the game, and if the MMORPG would ever get Steam achievements. The answer to that latter ask was a definitive no, there are no plans at this time to add Steam achievements.
Not the best of results from a Q&A, but at least you don't get your hopes up for certain things unlikely to be added to the MMO.
