Puzzle Quest 3 Will Be Free-To-Play On Multiple Platforms This Year
Over a decade since the last game in the franchise came out -- and one new publisher later -- Puzzle Quest 3 is headed our way. Not only are fans of the game getting a new entry, but this one will also be free-to-play, and available on a variety of mobile devices, PC, and consoles.
Although the console part is a bit vague at the moment, the previous entry was eventually made available on Nintendo DS and Xbox. It should be pointed out, however, that that was under the game's previous publisher D3Publisher. Now, the Puzzle Quest franchise and its developer, Infinity Plus Two, are owned by 505 Games, so the platform options could be different.
The new game continues the Puzzle Quest story, 500 years after the original game. Aside from that, the game should pretty much be what fans have come to expect, gem-based puzzle battles built into a more traditional 3D RPG environment.
So, if you're a fan of the earlier games, and have been waiting for a new one, that wait is almost over. Unfortunately, we can't tell you exactly when this year the game will release, but there is a website for it.
