PSO2: New Genesis Will Get New Volcanic Region In December, Next Week's Patch Unlocks Level 65, High-Rank Sectors, And More
SEGA will be rolling out content and changes like wildfire soon.
The latest Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis Headline Report displayed a compelling package of content, improvements, and changes across the board from SEGA. The biggest reveal from the pre-recorded broadcast was a trailer showcasing an upcoming volcanic region for December. Along the way, many October updates will be coming: the first one on October 5 unlocking level 65 and High-Rank Sectors, new 7-Star rarity weapons, balance adjustments, and features.
Level 65 will be available for all classes and the October 5 patch also adds Rank 4 Retem Alnothe and Maquead lower level. New High-Rank Sectors will feature NPCs in Co-op Trials, and PSE Burst becomes guaranteed after completing Aina and Manon Trials.
SEGA will improve certain weapons in next week's patch (unclear which ones), impacting their cancel timing, guard performance, and attack range. Moreover, power potency will get increased for Photon Arts. Players can gain 7-Star Obsidia series weapons from enhanced enemies soon, later dropped in high difficulty Trania quests and title rewards. Lastly, October 5's patch will let players teleport to Region Mags, preview Music Discs at Scratch Ticket and My Shop screens, and gather party members even if they're far away.
The later patches through October will introduce Rank 3 Kvaris, New High-Rank Aelio Sectors, and Ordinal Tower. After them, fans can expect to explore The Stia Region, an ashen, volcanic land with life-stripped trees and rolling magma on December 12. The trailer presented during the broadcast shows many sights as the player-character sprints and jumps around, soon teasing bosses on the horizon.
