PSO2: New Genesis's NGS Headline Debuted Frozen Resolution Update Today: New Zone, Weapons, And Enemies Coming
Next week, PSO2: New Genesis' 1st Anniversary Event is rolling in hot!
In June, Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis's Chapter 3 update, Frozen Resolution, will inject some new zones, weapons, player actions, and more into the game! Thanks to the NGS Headline today, we also know that the 1st Anniversary Event for PSO2: New Genesis will be live next week for players to enjoy celebrating the occasion.
Frozen Resolution will have players travel to the "beautiful yet deadly frozen tundra" by the name of Kvaris. Across the icy landscape, players will encounter new DOLLS and unique enemies like the Crocodylis within a freezing cave. There are original characters in Chapter 3, like the energetic Meri or cool-guy Kukka, that the existing cast and players will get familiar with, soon arriving at the Kvaris Camp that will serve as your base of operations in the region.
A brand new edition to PSO2: New Genesis's Frozen Resolution is the two player actions: Throw and shredding across the snow on a Floating Board. The Throw action lets you sling "shattered Crystalline Ice at enemies to inflict massive damage," while the Floating Board is perfect for getting across land swiftly. Following those player actions, SEGA revealed the new 6-star Rarity weapons, specifically for the Sechetyl and Evoleclipse series, which you can get by exchanging Kvaris Expedition Prep Tickets.
June is a while off, so in the meantime you can take things slow in next week's 1st Anniversary Event. There will be a list of timed objectives you can pick up from the returning Xitre at the Tasks and Exchange Shop. And for those hunting for a more involved quest, the limited-time Dazzling Chaos Suppression Op has you battle against Retem and Aelio forces as many times as you want to gain items.
