PSO2 Celebrates Passing The 1M Registered Player Milestone With Free Goodies, A Raffle, And New Urgent Quests
As we told you last week, Phantasy Star Online 2 has passed the 1 Million registered player mark. Today, Sega is celebrating that milestone with the in-game "One Million ARKS Celebration". The celebration kicks off today and runs through August 26, during which time players will benefit from EXP, Rare Drop, and Rare Enemy spawn rate increases. In addition, players have the opportunity to receive up to 2 million EXP via tickets, and those players who log in more than five days during the event will have the chance to win 10,000 AC, 1,000 SG, or 10 AC Scratch tickets. One hundred winners will be selected for each of those prizes.
That's not all that's happening in PSO2 today. Two new Urgent Quests have also been added to the game -- The Lunar Phantasm Matriarch and Dignity of Steel Unleashed. The first takes players to a previously unknown moon base where Mother has stationed herself in an effort to build a bridge to earth. Of course, it's up to players to put a halt to things before the project is completed. The second tasks players with fighting off phantasms sent to stop them from reaching Battleship Yamato.
Finally, if you've yet to get around to reading the ARKS handbook, you now have a reason to. Between now and September 1, players who actually read the handbook will be rewarded with Star Gems. Okay, really, you just need to talk to Leontina and open the handbook. But, either way, you get some SG out of it. So, go ahead and do that while you're doing everything else.
