Preview Siren Isle, The New Zone Coming In World Of Warcraft's 11.0.7 Patch, Along With Plunderstorm's Return
A "familiar face in the darkness" is revealed in the prologue for The War Within's 11.1 patch.
You're probably still doing quite a bit of the World of Warcraft 20th anniversary patch right now. Maybe doubly so since Blizzard buffed the hell out of the MMORPG's event currency rewards. That said, it's never too early to get a look at what's coming down the pike.
In a new preview, Blizzard is showing of the new zone coming in patch 11.0.7, Siren Isle. Some of this may seem (and look) somewhat familiar. Siren Isle, as the name implies, is an island and yes, azerite may play a part here. There's plenty to explore and there seems to be a singing or humming crystal in the middle that multiple groups are curious to mess with soon.
Expect to have to deal with a few groups also exploring the island. These include the Bloodwake Vrykul, some Naga, and, of course, some pirates. All three groups will rotate around the island doing their own exploring, so you may not see the same enemies in the same spots during your travels. Contributing towards each group resource-wise can actually unlock certain sealed caves, opening up new boss fights.
New content means new rewards, too. Some of the rewards shown in the video may also look familiar. They've been in the game's data files, now it's time to actually see them in game.
We've got a special ring to go snag, too. Cyrce's Circlet is a ring with multiple gem slots on it and these slots can be filled to enhance your character a bit. On the isle itself, you'll receive extra benefits.
With the update, we'll also see the return of Warcraft's battle royale inspired content, Plunderstorm, in 2025. Yes, the mode will have new rewards, but some rewards from the previous event will also be available if you're playing catchup a bit.
Other features will include the prelude quest for The War Within's 11.1 patch, the return of Turbulent Timeways, new Arathi ear customizations, and more. Check out the preview video below.
