Pre-Orders Are Now Available For World Of Warcraft’s Dragonflight Expansion, Release Planned For This Year
Order now and get it by the end of the year.
World of Warcraft’s Dragonflight expansion is supposed to launch by the end of the year. We don’t have an exact launch date yet, but we do know Blizzard intends to release it by December 31. That said, if there are no major issues, players can likely expect it sooner. The reason we say this is that pre-orders for the new expansion are now available.
Today, players can pre-order one of three digital editions or a physical boxed set. The three editions are the Base Edition, the Heroic Edition, and the Epic Edition. The Base Edition is...well...pretty basic. For $50, players get a pre-purchase bonus pet. The Heroic Edition will cost players $70 and adds a Murkastrasza Pet, a level 60 character boost, and a Tangled Dreamweaver mount to the loot. Finally, the Epic Edition adds a Timewalker’s Hearthstone effect, the Diadem of the Spell-keeper head-slot transmog, the Wings of Awakening back-slot transmog, and 30 days of game time at a $90 price tag.
As mentioned, there’s also a physical collector’s set. This item runs $130 and is available on the Blizzard Gear store now. In addition to everything in the Epic Edition digital set, it also includes the following real-world items
- The Art of Dragonflight – Hardback Art Book
- Alexstraza Mouse Pad
- Dragonflight Five-Pin Collector’s Set
Note: Activision Blizzard is still under investigation by the state of California for serious harassment charges. CEO Bobby Kotick is alleged to have known about such actions within his company – and performed some himself – and shielded the perpetrators from consequences.
