Ported: Planetside 2 and Warframe headed to PS4
Sony is quickly establishing their next-gen console as a viable platform for developers to publish Free-to-Play titles onto. So far War Thunder, Blacklight Retribution, DC Universe Online, and the PS3 exclusive Dust514 have all been confirmed for the Playstation 4.
Now two more games have been added to the PS4's F2P lineup. SOE's massive MMOFPS Planetside 2 and Digital Extreme's hack-and-slash space ninja MMO Warframe have both been confirmed for release on Sony's latest console.
In terms of how they will play, both devs have confirmed their games will retain the same feel as their PC counterparts although obviously they will be adapted to use a more controller friendly interface. SOE did mention however, that the PS4 version of Planetside 2 will utilize its own servers separate from the PC version. This makes sense seeing as it's been proven PC players have quicker reflexes and better accuracy in shooters than their console brethren. Digital Extremes has yet to confirm on any split but, it would make sense to allow both groups to co-exist on the same server given the fact that Warframe is focused on PvE and in third-person. Making it both easier to control on consoles and non competitive.
What game would you most like to see ported to consoles?

It is a hidden mechanic, but that is the core of this game. Another illusion is the weapons themselves. All are lasers. Even if it looks like bullet handeling gun, it is all star wars. If you mount a 50 cal truck mounted gun, and shoot a man on an ATV, the ATV is considered a vehicle there fore is "armor", so even if you shoot him in the head, the armor meter must fall first. This takes a 50 cal about 2 reloads to destroy a man on an ATV...that my friends is called SITUATIONAL combat, not tactical. That is just "who logged in and grabbed what armor first" is the winner. It is well hidden, but any one with half a brain will notice what a fake plastic ride this game is.
Flying is a joke. Most pilots are transport pilots and if you do the math, they wait at the gates for a ride. A shuttle that carries 15 people sitting in a base full of AFKers, about every 10 min an AFKER awakens and plays (I know, I was this pilot before). So you sit in the ship saying "go go go" and the pilot says "no, I need to fill up"...15 spots x 10min afks = 150 minuetes of sitting on the ground.
Snipers used and abused. HAcks everywhere. IT is all about situation. One tile I soloed 50% of a planet because every one was in one battle far off. Then more people logged in and the battle sort of balanced out, that is situational. The situation calls for X and the result is Y. SONY like to play mind games making you think you are playing a tactical game by introducing more and different laser guns, and images. On the loading screen there is an image of a guy shooting in the cockpit of a galaxy ship hanging on the front and killing the pilot. That never happens in game.
Sony has an official video of ATVS launching off a ramp and landing on a galaxy to hitch a ride. That will never happen in game... This game is so full of lies and poor fps mechanics...Even base capping is just situational, as long as more log ins are there, more floods poor in to cap and rinse and repeat the bases. NO tactic like sniping, or assaulting carefully wins the day. IT is about grabbing ATV, surviving 5O cals to the head, and just hopping 50 other people on your tea are logged in to back you up... Thanks to cross counsle this game can continue to have log ins and the illusion of "tactical FPS". Sorry, fail. Im sticking with my prefered War Sim FPS thanks. But it is a cute kiddie pool for the starter FPS kids.
It sounds like they are ditching PC and trying to make the game popular on PS4.
