Plunge Into Another Sea Of Thieves Event As Players Search For The Shrouded Ghost
I think we’re gonna need a bigger boat.
It is time to set sail once more with Merrick and Belle in a new Sea of Thieves adventure to find the legendary Shrouded Ghost. This brand new adventure seems to allude to the idea that players will finally be able to come face-to-face with the very rare, white megalodon – the Shrouded Ghost itself.
Even in the cinematic below, it is clear as day that the sea-monster in the top left corner of the map is in the shape of a large shark. In short, it's always been incredibly rare to see the Shrouded Ghost, but for a limited time during the Shrouded Deep event, that may not be the case.
The big question on players' minds with this new event is, if players are going to fight the Shrouded Ghost, will they also receive the title for it? The answer looks grim. If players go into their commendations they will notice that the commendation for defeating the Shrouded Ghost has changed. It now reads: “Defeat the Shrouded Ghost in a chance encounter 5 times, as a Pirate Legend.” The ‘chance encounter’ portion has been added recently which most likely means the title can still only be earned by extremely rare encounters and not in-game events.
Still, with a chance to see such an elusive beast and recover a powerful artifact with Merrick and Belle, it is still sure to be a fun, worthwhile adventure with the crew. Players can take part in The Shrouded Deep event from April 21 until May 12. If you would like to read the Twitter post by the official Sea of Thieves team, please be sure to check it out.
