Players Asked For It And Now A Group Ironman Mode Is Coming To RuneScape
The latest RuneScape Ahead video outlines plans through the first half of 2025.
A new RuneScape Ahead video is out, updating the game’s roadmap, and they manage to cover quite a few things in the eleven minutes of the video where they discuss not only what’s coming in the rest of 2024, but also what players can look forward to in the first half of 2025.
Of course, players can look forward to the standard things we all expect from MMORPG updates: new quests, new bosses, updated skills, seasonal events, and the like. There are also new features on the way. One such feature is something players have been asking for, a Group Ironman mode. This mode will allow groups of up to five players to start a new adventure without the XP bonuses. They’ll also have to forgo any outside help. That means players will need to put together a good group because they’re all they’ll have to rely on.
The mode will offer “communal features” like group storage. The group will also be able to obtain additional cosmetics such as upgradeable Milestone Capes. More information on this mode, as well as all the other players can expect between now and July 2025 can be found in the video below.
