PlatinumGames' PvE Co-op Hack-and-Slasher Babylon's Fall Launches Today
Play solo or with friends and enjoy the action combat and "brushwork style" visuals.
Square Enix and PlatinumGames' Co-op PvE hack-and-slasher Babylon's Fall has now launched on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC, letting players become prisoners-turned-Sentinels with fantastic powers and very shiny weapons and armor. Your goal is to climb the tower of Babel, fighting deadly enemies and acquiring fantastic treasure along the way, to increase your capabilities so you can take on even tougher foes, and -- well, you should know the drill by now.
Each play style in Babylon's Fall centers around a weapon, and you can wield up to four weapons at once, switching between them as the situation warrants. The art style of the game is based upon a "brushwork style" that attempts to emulate medieval oil paintings, so even if you're not great at the combat, you can still "ooh" and "aah" at how pretty everything is.
Further prettiness can be achieved via the Season Pass, the first season of which, titled The Eternal Ziggurat, is included with the purchase of the base game. That runs through May 31 and offers over 100 rewards, including cosmetic equipment, emotes, stamps, and materials.
You can purchase the Standard Edition of Babylon's Fall for $59.99 or the Digital Deluxe Edition, which includes several cosmetic extras, for $99.99. Learn more about the game on the Babylon's Fall website.
